Health

So…for a few months Paul had a mole on his face. I hadn’t really noticed it getting bigger but last week it really became a lot more noticeable. I said to him he should really get it checked out at the doctor. So we headed down to the ambulance station in Bisenti, we are very fortunate to have this wonderful facility in our town.

The doctor does her regular session there once a week, and it’s always a walk in appointment. We went mid-morning and only two other ladies waiting. Luciano our youngest came with us, and I went for a bit of moral support.

We headed in and the doctor took one look at the mole and said it was a tumour, needed to be removed immediately. Paul could either be referred to the hospital or she could remove it in a follow up appointment at her other clinic, which would incur a fee. Paul decided he wanted to have the private appointment as he isn’t keen on hospitals.

so, the appointment for removal was made three days later. He had a few injections in his face to numb the area, and the mole was removed and a few stitches to sew up the incision.

He goes back next week and gets the stitches out. The plaster came off today by itself rather than Paul removing it. The doctor has done such a neat job.
